In our project we highlight some perspectives how to solve an environmental problem, which is very common in the whole world: empty industrial areas and buildings without any functions. These ex-industrial areas are really poluted because of the ex-industrial functions, but are not still revitalised. Because of the damaged buldings we are looking forward to future’s problems as well, that’s why we start our project. Our town, Miskolc is suffering from the same situation. Our assosiation was in occupation of an empty screw factory 8 years ago, we gave new functions to the building. In the project we are focusing on the revitalisation of the Miskolc’s ex-industrial area. We highlight the problems to the people, decisionmakers and all of the stakeholders and motivate them to take part in the conversation to create the startegy of the recultivation/revitalisation. During the project we show to the youth, our target group, how to recycle and renew buildings in the aspect of sustainability and recycling. We give examples and ideas to the towns decisionmakers according to the revitalisation.
Our aim is to reopen this area, to give new functions to the buildings and show new oppornuties to the stakeholders.
