Hello, here we are!
The aim of the program on one hand is to help the deaf and deaf- mute people in leading a self- supporting life- style and in a better integration into the society, by cultural, training and equal opportunity programs. On the other hand to help the family members and the volunteers living and working with these people in the better understanding and in being more concerned of the deaf and deaf- mute people’s problems, by group work and programmes in camps.
Target groups of the project:
-Family members of deaf and deaf- mute people.
-Volunteer helper families with good ears.
-University students studying in Debrecen.
-Volunteers from high school students.
Some of the main activities:
-Integrated playing-room for children living with deaf or deaf-mute family member(s).
-Legal-, health-, and psychological counselling for deaf and deaf-mute parents with sign language translation.
-A1 level sign language training for university students.
-Visual, musical and movement activities for deaf and deaf-mute youngsters and adults.
Participants of the project:
-Sign language translators and teachers of the Association of Deaf and Deaf-mute People in Hajdu-Bihar County
-Colleagues of the Human Developer's Association,
-Legal, health and psychological councillors.
-Group leaders.
The infrastructural and personal background of the main applicant and of its partners, makes possible the creation a cultural and service centre.
