Summary:
The specific direct objective of the project is to help the catcthing up of the Roma population of our subregion, to increase opportunities for their children, and to facilitate the underprivileged members of their social and labour market integration. Through the development we want to create opportunities to the Roma NGOs that operate inside the frame of the subregion so that the operating conditions - necessary to achieve the goals - should be provided for the local community building programs and community services, and to build the necessary capacities and enhance their skills in taking advantages of the available financial sources.
Presentation of target groups:
- The member of a minority of people declaring themselves as Roma;
- Roma NGOs and Roma minority self-governments existing in the subregion
Main operations are presented as:
- Creating a greenhouse for plants, a training workshop and an incubator-house
- 10 people selected from the target group for training and employment
- increase the capacity of the Roma civil organizations and minority self-governments
- Dissemination and ongoing communication of the experience and the results
- creating a self-help group with the involved target group
Project participants with additional knowledge and experience will help with building up a small pattern self-help group - like a cell - working as producers, doing farmyard and self-help group activities, which provide additional income for families.
