Summary:
1.Bio briket in Halmaj- "The burning question"
2.Goals and objectives:producing bio brikett by and for socially handicapped people- decreasing firewood dependency, the risk of freezing to death in winter and also the risk of wood stealing. This useful activity increases self-consciousness of people, strenghtens the community, supports the sustainable development, transforms views of people.
3. Target groups: socially handicapped Roma and non-Roma inhabitants of Halmaj.
4. Methods and activity: Collecting raw materials, producing bio briket and then giving it to the voluntary workers of the project. Selling a certain portion of the biobrikett for the expenses of the transport of the raw materials in the next year. Eco-training for the participants.
5. Cooperation with the owners of the neighbouring forests, gardens, vineries for getting the necessary raw material. Cooperation with the local government and other offices for getting vaste paper- and maybe for involving public workers in the project.
