1. The project aims to make an einvironmental review, opinion and exploratory study on alternatives of Eger Transportation Development Plan, with the participation of the town’s inhabitants and civil organizations.
2. The transport and green space management of Eger, the organizations of the Non-Profit Round Table, the Assembly of City of Eger. 3. We would like to involve the citizens into the planning process, familiarize to these basic questions with them: For how long can Eger’s road-system keep up with the icreased need of the vehicles and parking places? Does the traffic mop up every area in the town, or is it possible to resolve the parking problems with effective improvements? To avoid the suburban problems these need to be solved: - the availability of the main points (with the control of the individual transportation) by public transport alternatives,- the transit traffic needs to be accelerated as well. Are these achievable? To these questions we would like to draw the attention and look for the answers by this study. 4. Our board of trustees and 10 other well-experienced professionals took part int o create this study. The Eger Civil Society and its sections (environment and nature-protection organizations) were involved in the environmental analysis. 5. We are going to declassify the analysis and the opinion of the Civil Society, and we are going to send the study to the members of the town’s Assembly, to incorporate the study into the Transport Development Plan.
