Summary:
Project goals and objectives
The objective is a positive change int he way of life and quality of life of the inhabitants of Abaújszolnok: amelioration of the behaviour and school performance of the children and useful free-time activities for them; better higienic situation; capacity building and increasing knowledge regarding childe care, keeping house, healthy lifestyle, family planning ; first steps towards self preservation.
Target group
23 families of Abaújszolnok and their children (80 people, 80% of them is Romani, all of them is socially handicapped)
Used methods and project activity
We will organise women’s club once a week, with common cooking, dish washing, playing and learning with children, besides possibilities for having a wash, washing, sewing. We will keep sheeps around the house, cut and sell their hair and make diary products from their milk. Once a month there will be trainings on child rearing, women’s intim health care, family planning and contraception; herbs; conservation of vegetables, handcraft techniques. In August a common festival, where the adults and children of Abaújszolnok will show their talents. During the project the members of the association will participate in a supervision, we will discuss the happenings with our mentor, check the edministrative and organising tasks.
