Summary:

The aim of our project is to bring modern people closer to storks and - in a broadlier sense - closer to wildlife and natural values.
Primarly, to the younger generation, through direct, hands-on experiences
We hope to improve nature conservation awarness and an eco-friendly approach among young people in the region.
The target group consists of the interested youngsters of the region, who use internet, technical devices on a daily basis, as well as children (and their families).

The most important activities and methods:
a. We call attention to the importance of nature conservation, we highlight its global relationships
b. We present how people living in our region can co-operate actively in nature conservation on a daily basis
c. We introduce the deleterious effects of human activity on nature
d. We increase the social background of nature conservation, introduce life and the importance of storks to people living in the region
e. We call the attention of young people to the life of storks
through a regional portal related to storks, that publices news about the life of white storks with continuously refreshed information on a daily basis, follows the life of certain stork pairs with web cams and blogs, gives information about storks and conservation of storks. We follow the migration of the storks using transmitters. We publish our results continuously.
