Summary:
Help-Next-Door – Neighbourhood volunteers in Csapókert
Purpose of the project: To train 10 new neighbourhood volunteers, who can start their work in the Debrecen-Csapókert area; the volunteers provide information to their neighbours, generate community initiatives, thereby improving social status of the people and boosting their activity in the community.
Target groups:
- 10 new neighbourhood volunteers
- 7 existing neighbourhood volunteers
- residents in their close neighborhood, primarily working-age adults and older people
- 50 people, whom the volunteers directly reach and who in some way benefit from the results of the project during its course
Indirect target group: 17 neighbourhood volunteers who reach approximately 5% of the area residents (1050 people).
Main activities:
- Selecting 10 neighbourhood volunteers via interviews, training and subsequent follow-up
- Organizing one neighbourhood day to present the results of the volunteers and the project and to strenghten the identity of the area
- Compiling a publication to present the results of the project
